People put magazines in safes? Why?

Because some magazines cost $50/ea and when you have 10+, it's the same price as a gun? Or when you have 30+ $20 mags..... It's not like they aren't worth a good bit of money

I found a couple magnetic tool holders. They're tie wrapped to the top of my shelf brackets in the safe and hold quite a few magazines each. I realize there's nothing homemade, but one was cheap and the other free! I keep the magazines that I'm more likely to use on them and then all surplus magazines in an ammo can. I tend to have a lot of mags around with the constant bans/threats of bans happening.

These are foam inserts designed to fit in a 50cal ammo can. They are like $15 each on Amazon. They just sit on top of the safe. Each pistol has one mag in it, and the rest go in these with silver sharpie on the base pad to identify them.

+1 to mags not being in the safe at all. Unless maybe they are unubtainium for some reason.

My loaded mags are in the safe, but all the others are locked up in a steel cabinet.

I bought a few from this place. I store 3 Magpul magazines on one rack and have a few pistol magazines holders for pistol magazines. They hold AK47 magazines and Lancer L5 as well. Need to have floor plate of some kind to you so don't have to worry about a magazine slipping out.
