I have 2 original USGI M1917 hand upper guards,in brand new unissued condition-They are still in the original wax paper.
Great condition,includes the metal clip.
No markings.
Anyone out there restoring a chopped up sporter,or am I the only one:)?
$20 each

I would like to restore a Remington 1917 that I inherited from my late father in law that a previous owner sporterized.
Are these 2 of the same piece or are these front and back upper hand guards?

Both the same-they are the upper guard only (closest to the front sight.)
I will sell separately, you don't have to buy both!
They aren't officially referred to as "front" or "back" but rather,"upper" and "lower".
I think by front you mean upper?

OK, these are 2 uppers. I am going to the Monroe gun show this weekend to see what I can find. I would prefer to buy the stock and both handguards together for wood grain and color consistency but may not be able to find a complete set. I will be in touch if I decide to purchase separately.
Thanks.
