I'm not sure I want to sell this. But I want to free up some gun buying funds, so I'm going to post this to see if anyone wants it as much as I do, since I suddenly have two Garands.
This is a Springfield Armory receiver dated May 1945 rebuilt with a later barrel with a good bore. It has a pepper laminate stock, as the original Boyd's walnut that was on it broke, and this is what I had. It sets it apart from the Garand crowd. The hand guards have some scuffs from the corner slot in my safe. But it's a nice tight fit metal to stock. Metal finish is post-war re-park excellent. Excellent shooter!
I can send a dozen or so enbloc clips with it. $1200. You can offer trades, but I'm not looking for anything, so please don't be offended if I politely decline.
Thanks for looking!
