FYI The 7.62 X 51 is not legal for the John C. Garand matches. The CMP has some pretty nice rifles for sale. Good luck

I have a really nice M-1 garand in 308 (baby garand) that is really nice and looks just like the big M-1 but this gun is a lot more rare and lighter to carry. This one shoots 308 instead of 30-06 and is 1.5 lbs lighter.
