Thanks, Ron, for the endorsement. I hope many see your way, too. It pains me to part away with it, but I must. I'd love to get a Holbrock device which "fixes" (if you can call it that) what my only gripe about the M1 Garand.

PS. I posted this classified over a year ago. It is my fault it did not sell then. I lost my resolve to sell and ignored inquiries from interested parties. I gave first dibs to those who asked. They had understandably lost interest.

I am not selling it because I want, but because I must. I do not need the money. But, regrettably, this rifle has become too dear to me, my "Isaac", (whoso readeth, let him understand). Nothing but God should have this kind of hold on my heart. I have to put my actions where my mouth is.

I don't think I have ever seen a M-1 in this condition at a gun show.
I have seen some real junk for ridiculous prices. I was at a gun show recently and inspected a well worn M-1. Well worn barrel, op rod and gas tube with no finish on it. The guy had a price of $1400 on it!!!
Good luck with the sale. Someone is going to get a real nice M-1.
