Same story.
This receiver was in the Pacific Theater in WWII.
A real Kool Kid receiver.
The Rcvr SN dates to Sep 1942.
Marshal Arms were left in the Philippines at the end of WWII,
then ownership Transferred to Them,
Later Purchased by the CMP and processed.
This is a Grade B CMP Re-Parked WWII Pac Theater Rcvr,
w/ a New Production Criterion .308 Bbl reamed for 7.62x51.
[Grade B meaning there will be some minor pitting below the wood line]
These bbls are extremely accurate, and are stress relief treated twice.
They win at the John C Garand matches.
Bore gauges -0.1 at both ends. [TE: -0.1, MW -0.1]
Properly headspaced and gauged.
Furniture is New Dupage '1939 Slim Line' Contour,
American Blk Walnut,
With multiple coats of hand rubbed Teak Oil.
All other parts are New Old Stock:
All internals, Clip Latch, All springs, Rr sight, OP Rod and related,
65 series Bolt, Trigger group parts, Gas Cylinder and Fr Sight.
Trigger Housing and Trigger Guard are WWII Re-Parked.
All other trigger group parts are NOS.
Test fired too.
$1150..
Cash is important right now, but part trades considered:
Typically something I can peddle right away.
Prefer FTF SE PDX/ Milw area.
Compare w/ what the CMP offers, and contemplate the wait.
