Some cool gifs showing the Garand cycling. It even has a side by side cycle comparison of the Garand and the AR. May take a while to load for those slower connections or older machines.

I've got to dust my M1 off and take it shooting.

neat...I was talking to a Vietnam vet recently...I asked what he carried...he said he carried the m16 a couple time but he was trained on the m1 and so he felt secure carrying it in battle...he also said the m16 wasn't reliable back then...and honestly he used his knife more that any gun.....

Interesting. I guess that's why the last round always goes straight right instead of forward, the casing isn't glancing off the op rod as it's moving forward.

That was a great vid. Is the forward ejection trajectory by design or accident?

Cool stuff, thanks for sharing! I need an M1 to sit in the safe next to my M-N 91/30.

Have always wanted one of these! We cleaned the daylights out of them in Pensacola but never got to shoot them.

Slow motion is awesome! I liked the side by side comparison of the M1 and the M16.

Get one while you still can! They are a joy to shoot and a great piece of history. I love mine. Thinking of getting her a sister.
