M1 Carbine Inland Div. 1944 in *original (all matching) condition*

    I am selling this collectible firearm that I inherited from my father’s estate. Price is $1150.00

    Every item of the rifle matches the description of the Inland Division of G.M, U.S. Cal. 30 M1 Carbine, Model of 1944,
    as listed on Page 81 of the A Collector’s Field Guide to U.S. Military Arms: Collecting the M1 Carbine III, by J.C. Harrison.

    I am not a collector. I would like this firearm to go to someone who is and will enjoy it. I am sure that it will be worth much more in the future.

    U.S. Cal. 30 M1 Carbine, Model of 1944 – Serial #6333846
    Front Sight - Milled
    Barrel - Marked “INLAND MFG. DIV. OF GENERAL MOTORS” with date “11/44”
    Firing Proof – Marked “P” (maybe – hard to see)
    Front Band – Type B band, Inland Division marked “PI” in pennant, second variation
    Handguard - Type D, four rivets, marked “OI” on inside
    Slide – Type B, 6 o’clock M1, marked “PI” (underlined)
    Bolt – marked “A.I.” (no number)
    Receiver – marked “INLAND DIV.” over Serial # “6333846”
    Rear Sight – Type B, milled, marked “PI” (Saginaw S.G – Saginaw)
    Recoil Plate – Type B, marked “D.I.”
    Inspections Initials – None
    Ordnance Escutcheon - Inland
    Buttplate – square checkering pattern – unmarked
    Stock Type – Type C, low wood, oval oiler cut, marked “AO” (I think – hard to see – muzzle end – inside)
    Inside and Bottom of Pistol Grip – both unmarked
    Sling Cut – marked “”OI”
    Trigger Housing – Type E, milled “INLAND” logo on right side
    Safety – Type B, plain.
    Clip Release – marked “M” push tab, marked “E.I.” on front lug
    Hammer – marked “I-I”
    Bottom of Trigger Guard – no marks
    inside barrel is clean, rifling in very good condition for age
    Did not take firing pin, extractor or trigger housing apart.
