An online purchase can be made by you from the seller dealer to a Federal Firearms Dealer (FFL) who will do a background check on you to make sure you do not have exclusionary criteria, such as felony. Most pawn shops are FFL dealers as well as alwasy the store front gun dealers. Please call your pawn shop or local gun store to see how they handle the matter; usually simple. You'd pay for shipping and the background check; usually a total of about $50.00 for a handgun. I use A Cut Above Pawn in Beaverton for many years.
