Are you sure its not coated? My M&P Sports both have melonite lined barrels. That was a major selling point when I got them. A lot of people prefer this to chrome lined. Mine have been totally trouble free for the 5 or 6 years that I have owned them. Shot thousands of rounds, and still have 1 inch groups at 100 yards with cheap ammo. Love this gun, you will not regret this purchase.
