Yes - I know - zombie thread, but here is a suggestion that the news media does not like and some people do; have your own vid/sound crew there recording everything so that if something happens or is said and is portrayed out of context, then you have a record of what really happened.

This puts the media on notice that they can't play games with their edited version of an interview, and if they do, then the interviewee can hold them accountable. I seem to recall episodes where the media refused such a setup.

Not that this happened - not going back 6+ years to find out, but just a suggestion.
