Well new they are less than 500.00. And sadly modifications don't bump up the value much. If I were selling I'd be asking around the 400.00 dollar range.

870 what? Can you elaborate a bit more? What else does it say under the side saddle? Is there an "M" in the serial number? Does it have a 3" chamber or just 2 3/4?

It's a 12 gauge, swapped the barrel to an 18.5 years ago. I don't know the exact model of the shotgun

It's a 12 gauge, swapped the barrel to an 18.5 years ago. I don't know the exact model of the shotgun

You are going to have to pull that side saddle off for the FFL transfer so they can verify the serial number. You might as well do that now.

3" and 2 3/4. Serial Ends in an M

I bought my Remington 870 Express 12 Guage with the 28" vented rib barrel from Bi Mart last summer for 460 with tax. Hope that helps.

i have an old wingmaster with perfect blueing, and beautiful walnut. it would go a lot more than 5 bills.

at some point remington started to cheap out and swap metal for plastic. from what i understand, different generations have different values.

Did this come with shoulder stock from the factory?

Remington 870's generally split into two groups, the newer Express discussed above, under $500 value and older Wingmaster - Police Models, made with better parts and quality control and have higher value above $500 unless in poor condition.

Yea picked up one super cheap and the guy had a side saddle shell holder and wouldn't ya know rusted as all get out lol easy fix though. If it was a pretty trap gun I would care but this one not so much .
