Looking to purchase an AR or other assault rifle

    Looking to buy an AR, AK47 or similar. I am on a budget so nothing too fancy. Western Washington area. Also interested in an affordable semi-auto handgun.

    i think the "suspicion" rests with using the specific term "assault rifle." the only entity that purposely labels an ak or ar an "assault rifle" is the government.

    I know but people new to shooting don't know the preferred nomenclature. I hate to turn someone off from the board or make them feel bad because they're not in the know. Better to educate them.

    You can't own an "assault rifle" in WA, they don't allow full or select fire weapons here.
