Another option to think about might be a gimbal mount. They keep the gun perfectly stable no matter what position and you can mount to a table or whatever or use a tripod. This one cost $59 for the gimbal head and $11 for the plate (called a lens plate). I just put two double sided velcro straps to hold the plate onto the gun but you can mount the plate to the gun with screws if you wanted to. Probably would not work for high recoil guns long term though?Anyone using one of the shooting benches that swivel. Recommendations ... have one to sell?
