Got a rem 700 I need cut and threaded for suppressor/brake
Anyone you would recommend?
shoot me a PM and we can talk..
If you live in Hillsboro look no farther than Tornado Technologies. They threaded my Beretta OEM barrel and their work is fantastic. Very easy to recommend:
Is Tornado Tech a supporting vendor here?
Doesn't appear so. I've got no 'dog in the fight' except for the fantastic work they've done for me. As I said, they threaded my Beretta 92fs barrel and cleaned up a poorly manufactured Silencerco Osprey Piston. Both jobs turned out perfect. They also list Rem 700's on their 'services offered' page.
I'm sure there are other guys that are good, but these guys did right by me.
Been a while, manufacture (Gemtech) referred me to TROS.
Work was first rate, not sure what their into now, might be worth a call.
Pretty sure most manufactures will provide current recommendations, they seem to change fairly frequently, and I am unsure as to what criteria are utilized in making the changes.

Tornado Technology gets high marks from me and they're in your neighborhood.
That's pretty much all they do and they do it very well.
if you go with Tornado and don't mind, please post price and lead time for completion.
Tornado's prices are all posted on their web site.....
I know. But their lead time is not.
If you're buying a suppressor, you've got plenty of time to drop off your barrel at Tornado Technologies to do their magic with plenty of time to spare before it gets approved by the ATF.
There was a thread on this same subject a couple of years back regarding the time it took to get barrels threaded there.
One member here stated that the owner should raise his prices, and that would reduce the volume of work that he accepts and it would speed up his turn around time.
Being that some customers would look elsewhere for the same service and the owner would be making the same amount of money and everyone would be happy, except the folks that want super quality work and lower prices.
I am looking for thread the barrel. My friend told me you doing a good job can you contact me.
Tornado seems great but if you want a rifle barrel threaded you put your name on a list and when they get enough of those rifles to do they call you to bring in your rifle. For me I have been waiting 2 months now for a call to bring in my rifle for threading. Granted it isn't on there list but hope I don't get the suppressor before the rifle is even threaded that would suck!
I wonder how they are doing their threading?
Takes 10 min to setup and dial in a barrel and about 15 mins to turn it and thread. And that's dialed in perfect! Within .0002 runout!
Tornado threaded a vintage High Standard Sport King barrel for me and the custom made threads cap is so well done that you'd have a hard time telling that the barrels been threaded.
The bluing matched perfectly.
When I picked it up, I thought he had forgot to do the job.
Just called Tornado was told there back log is so large that it wouldn't be any time soon before they got to the list with me on it.
My guess at this rate I will receive my Suppressor and I will have no threaded rifle for it to attach too. I may just have to shop around for threading elsewhere!!!
Who else in Portland area does a great job but has a lead time of less than 3-4 month wait just to bring in your rifle to get threaded?
Looks you have nothing to say.
