Looking for opinions: 7.62x54r, Romanian vs. Russian

    AIM Surplus has both Romanian and Russian ammo. If you were to purchase one of them, which one and why? The price difference is not an issue.

    I would like to think the Russian ammo was better, but I don't know...

    Russian. Consistent shooting in my experience. Is it a 'light ball' vs 'heavy ball' issue? I personally enjoy the heavies out of my 91/30 and the lights out of my PSL. But on the average Russian ammo is going to be a better item to use and I've shot Russ, Polish, Romanian, German, and Chinese x54r.

    It's the LAST Rimmed Mil round on the planet only because Russia never got past 1893 mil specs

    Ah contrare good sir. There are a couple of more Rimmed cartridges out there.
