I really dig the one with the corkscrew. That would be tough to replace I bet.
Thanks ...it is one of my favorites as well.
It is a older ( 1930's ) Schrade "Sportsman Companion" .
Nice jigged bone handles ...and unlike many combo / Swiss Army / Boy Scout type knives...it is fairly thin and fits my pocket nicely.

My regular is a Benchmade Osborn carbon fiber. It's lightweight and decent. Not as great as I would have hoped.

I also carry a bunch of cheap knives when I know it might get beat up when I need something heavier. Ganzo is one of my favorite cheap Amazon knives.

I have gained a respect for Kershaw knives. Especially the Leek:

But this is what I carry these days:

If the blade gets dull I pop it off and replace it for about $1.50 for a good quality ultra sharp scalpel blade. I can abuse the snot out of this knife with no remorse!

I have a decent $200 automatic somewhere... because I thought it would be cool to own one. I like the assisted opening knives better.

I prefer to travel light:

Not being a "knife guy"...what is EDC?
EDC - Everyday Carry. It's turned into a huge category in the gun world. Basically what you carry on you throughout your day. Ex - gun, keys, phone, knife, ect.

I've been carrying an Outdoor Edge RazorLite EDC for a few years now. Bought a couple for gifts also. Replaceable blades are scalpel sharp.

I'll never own another Buck knife. I had a 110 when I was in high school. I was walking on the beach with some friends and saw an inflatable pillow that had washed up on shore. I had my Buck with me, and I threw it at the pillow to pop it. The knife hit perfectly point-first. And the blade snapped clean just ahead of the pivot without popping the pillow. All the pieces are rusting away somewhere in the waters off of Pismo Beach, about as far as a 16-year-old could throw them.

I don't EDC, but when I do carry a knife in my pocket - that Razorlite is the one. I've got one in my hunting backpack as well but favor the similar Havalon Piranta (also in my pack) for skinning. I got all three of those knives by just paying for shipping and handling for subscribing/renewing with Eastman's Hunting Journal.

Kershaw Blur. I need fast throw (ie assested blade open) and positive grip. The Blur has both. I've tried a lot, and that's the best.
