I'm looking to buy the cheapest .308/7.62 gun I can buy that's safe to shoot.
If it has a little bit of rust, finish wear, or a crappy stock, that's just fine.
If it's as ugly as a mud fence, that's great too. I like ugly guns. It just has to be in safe, functioning condition, and be accurate enough to hit milk jugs at 50 yards.
Would prefer a bolt action with open sights (Ishapore enfield?), but I've got an extra scope sitting around if need be.
Not too interested in any single shots, but may consider one if I can't find a cheap bolt action.
I'm in the Roseburg area, but will be going to Coos Bay in the next week, and then heading north (at least to Eugene, probably Portland as well) in a week and a half before heading to eastern Oregon, and can meet up anywhere along I5.
thanks
