Looking for a spot along HWY 30 Portland to Astoria

Heading to Astoria this weekend... need to find a spot to do some shooting along the way.


Dont need much, rifle distances would be nice but any reasonable backstop would be appreciated.


Shooting 9mm and maybe .223

Take US highway 30 to Shingle Mill Road (mile post 75.5). Proceed South on Shingle Mill, go past the markers for the OHV Park and head about 5 or 6 miles back, you will find a rock pit that you can get up to 145 yards in there, if you keep going down the road, you can get up to 450 yards. This is where I went to get both of my .338's sighted in.
