Looking for a quality hip holster for a USP .45 F!

Preferrably something with low holster wear, although it won't spend much time in this holster, I just need something for the moment, until my priorities change.

I'm thinking quality leather right now, but I guess if there's a good polymer holster I'd be willing to have a look. I'm local like all the rest of you, so it should be much easier this way compared to the larger boards.

With that said, no, I'm not looking for a low quality temporary, I want something tried, true, and that will hold up for years, just as my USP will.

Well, I have nothing for sale/trade for you, but just wanted to mention that I have had an Uncle Mike's "sidekick" synthetic retention holster for my 1911 that I have used almost daily for about 5 years now, and it's comfortable, good solid retention, quick release strap, good fit, has a built in mag pouch, and mine shows absolutely no signs of wear so far after a LOT of regular use. I got it at a gun show in VA for I think about $20 give or take a little. Couldnt be happier honestly, especially for the price. I would have to think they make one to fit the USP's.

Might be worth looking into. Unless things have changed in the last couple years, they were sold pretty much everywhere, so should be easy to find one to check out.

Just a thought for you. Personally, I think it's a great, durable holster, and for as cheap as they are, it's hard to beat, and even if it turns out to not be what you are looking for in the end, $20 or so isnt a big loss. Might be worth checking out at least.

Hmm, will do - I did go to Joes the other day to look, but my firearm fits in their size 30 (which they don't carry), it's ridiculous because it's such a large weapon.

I'll see if any other local retailers carry it in the proper size.

Also, when I went to Joe's, they said I should just bring in my firearm and see if it fits, but get this - I have to come in with the action open and a manager would have to escort me to the back... lol

...how pathetically weapon unfriendly is that. No more business from me, that was downright offensive, the thought of having to be babied across the store by someone who probably doesn't know two $hits about firearm safety.

I dont consider the uncle mikes sidekick holsters to be "quality" to me they are just one step above using a ziplock sandwich bag to secure your side arm. This is not to say that uncle mikes doesnt make some decent stuff. I would suggest one of their kydex holsters. This doesnt hold the dreaded moisture that can rust a firearm over an extended time and doesnt really promote holster wear. They are available in paddle and belt configurations.

Ya know, I just went and looked at my holster after seeing berettamod96 mentioning them holding moisture and what not, since that didn't seem right to me, and mine isn't an Uncle Mike's holster at all.

Apparently my memory sucks. Sorry about that. It's a Bagmaster brand made in St. Louis, MO apparently. Weird. I must have been remembering the name of some Uncle Mike's in my closet collecting dust or something. My bad on that.

So, yeah, no Sidekick. Mine's a Bagmaster. It's as I described it, but it isn't an Uncle Mike's, or a Sidekick. So other than the critical detail of brand and type, I was dead on.

go to holsters, then standard series holsters, and it's the "Standard Belt Holsters w/ Mag Pouch 22-L". They show $28 now. Still pretty good for it IMHO. Nice and cheap, works great, no signs of wear on the gun or holster after 5 years of regular use. Anywho, I like it a lot, especially for the price.

sorry about the bad Uncle Mikes info.No idea where my brain was.Name just stuck in my brain somehow. Weird. I'm normally sharp as a stick of butter......
