Looking for a Quality AR Scope

I am looking for a good scope around $500.

Something similar to a 1-4.
Has to have illuminated reticle and capped turrets.

Any Ideas?


Does anyone have a review on the vortex pst scopes?
To me the reticle seems too fine for close quarters but haven't seen one in person yet.

I have the Leupold "Mark ar mod 1" with the green reticle and love it... but it has open turrets that get bumped in the field and that just drives me crazy.

Leupold makes the vxr in a hunting version with the illuminated reticule and capped turrets You may call leupold and ask if there is a capped turret that can be swapped for the ones on your current scope. I also have a mark ar with the tmr firedot in a 3-9 and love it.

Ya I went into the factory in Portland and they do not offer capped turrets for mine..
