If you want outdoor shooting, drive out 138 until you get to the NF and then pick a safe spot with a good back stop.
Not that far out of town.

There are also a few places east of 138 Diamond Lake Between Roseburg and Myrtle creek lots of BLM area up there some roads will need a 4x4 this time of year especially.
