I can't offer any specific help but I would stay away from GSG brand guns. Any GSG do not buy.

Re the pioneer and Mauser I would research it online and YouTube to find out where it's made and in what factory. Often companies hire out the .22 clone manufacturing to others. I have the pioneer arms 5.56 AK 12.5" underfolder and it's very reliable and well made (much better than the Zastava I had). But I have no idea of the .22 is made in the same factory or even the same country. Worth researching though I would think.

Honestly, I have the GSG STG 44 and I love that thing.
The 9mm MP40 was crap though, charging handle flew off while firing.

There are comm-bloc AK 22s, designated the AKT, but they're rare and obviously more expensive than the Mauser AK 22.
