The plan is to be able to market this round. Its a wildcat I thunked up. Its an AR-15 barrel for those who couldn't tell from the pic. (I know it wasn't the greatest) My idea is to make everything but the barrel it self easily found off the shelf type items. The extension is standard, bolt is standard (not 223), mags are standard, gas block, gas tube and flash hider are standard off the shelf items too.

Yes, it external. Its an AR-15 barrel. (Not 223/5.56)

It took quite a while getting it finished. I still need to get it bead blasted and some sort of finish on it. (Not stainless), yet.. juggling a one year old and a dull time job and a wife leaves little time to play in the garage.

Yeah they just magically appear and fall out right after I put quite a few hours into them. Hahahah ;-)

Since you're not disclosing the caliber, what is the diameter of the case head and OAL?

Rim diameter is .424"
