    Im not seeing it....

If he does not have a CHL then it was illegal since it was in his backpack. also if it was loaded it is in Multinomah county so any rounds in a mag make it illegal as well. You need a CHL to have a loaded gun or magazine there.

We are governed by gazelles who's only survival mechanism is running and going limp when caught. The gazelles are trying to legislate the lion's claws away. The lions dont give a crap though.

    Doesn't add up.
Homeless guy implies low financial reserves. A Glock is at least $400.
When I was a kid in Detroit, I knew a guy who sold illegal guns, and he charged more than what the an LGS did, because they were untraceable.
IMO, IF the guy was homeless, the gun was likely stolen - as if he's going to claim he procured it illegally.
Still, the gazelles never miss a chance to proclaim the evil of guns. Bad gun!

They say they are trying to legislate the lion's claws away, but every law they pass ends up effecting guard dogs instead. One might almost think it is this way by design. o_O

    :(
    Almost:

"A group of Gazelles saying that if they all only run as fast as the slowest gazelle and cut off their horns that the lion will give up his claws."

It sounds like she did the smart thing and got the weapon away from an unstable man whom she probably knew had already been convicted of a violent crime. That's all we need to make our city safer: trust the police to do their jobs when it's time for them to do it. And help them do it by reporting and testifying.

Forget about Portland's ridiculous "city park" laws for a moment and realize that Mr. Jericho Apotheotoc Rumpelstiltskin had proven himself to be a danger to others, and demonstrated that he was still a danger when he threatened her not once but twice. His actions after the fact proved her right.

Her behavior was IMO exactly right: she had known him for ten years, and decided that he was ready, willing, and able to go berserk. So she went to the PPB, who collected him and handed him over to the people who will clean him up and dry him out for a few years before he gets another chance at fitting in to polite society.

    Thank you ma'am.
