It has settled in nicely (haven't shot it for quite a while now... been busy with work)

Just get a 6 or 6.5 Creedmoor then.
I was shooting with someone sat and we got his 6.5 on steel at 1810 yards fairly easily and I've shot my 260 that far dozens of times.
1000 yards is a snap for them.

A Tikka or bad rock or any of the production class rifles.
