going through the safe today and found an ugly AK build that was given to me about a decade ago. I'm looking for someone who has some skill, enjoys a challenge and when they look at it ask themselves WTF were they thinking.

Uncommon but those welds should be fine... hit it with some rustoleum and put a trigger in it and you're ready to go...

there is a crack in the rear weld that causes me concern.

Ah I see... cracks arwnt good. I build some AKs with tapped trunnions and screwed them together. They hold up just fine 10000rds later!

I lightly coated the trunnions with JB weld before screwing them together as an added security
