Airport Security: Loaded Gun Slips Past TSA Screeners - ABC News
TSA the biggest waste of money ever! Keeping the honest people honest.
I went through the airport and they harassed me over a sealed plastic water bottle but let the drunk obnoxious guy behind me through carrying a skate board without any delay (skateboards can be used very effectively as weapon, ask any skater.) A number of years ago when my now deceased father was traveling to a funeral back east recovering from surgery on his legs which had painful diabetic neuropathy (79 year old veteran of WWII and Korea) and he could barely walk, they made him take his shoes off which took about 20 minutes, it was very demeaning and painful for someone who was clearly no threat. They don't train TSA agents to identify terrorists because that would be profiling and would be wrong in the PC world we now live in. They don't care about what works. They pay them very little at this boring mind numbing job and they only do what they are told, rather than train them to think and identify threats. Ironically you don't even have to bring weapons through security you can buy all kinds of improvised weapons from the gift shops once you are through the screening area. For example the made in Oregon store sells bottles of wine, perfect for clubbing someone over the head or cutting them with the broken end once the bottle breaks. Billions of tax dollars and I know I don't feel any safer.
