My condolences sarge. I don't know if it easier or harder when they get that old, easier because you have been able to give them a long full life, harder because they have had that much longer to worm their way into your heart. Still one my favorite sentiments seems apt,

Blessed is he who has earned the love of an old dog.​

Sorry to hear that Sarge...they are truly family / pack members, I have a 13 year and 12 year old pups and treasure every day with them.
