I agree, if I could afford one then weight would be moot as I likely could afford to hire someone to pack my rifle.

I bet it could be mass produced on a CNC machine for less than $1K, maybe less.

Its all about quantity, If you were going to build 25,000 of them then I would agree. If you were going to build 2500 I dont think so.

That's very cool! Don't think I'd ever be in the market, unless I win the lottery. Annnd, since I don't play the lottery, not likely.
I imagine that a simple twist off barrel, locked with set screws or some such would be much less expensive to mfg.

Probably less then $300 in materials. It is the engineering and his machine work that makes this possible and amazing.

.22s I prefer their CMR-30 22MAG with the collapsible butt stock.
