And theoretically... Those amber lights aren't legal either....

ORS 816.350(12) Except as otherwise allowed under this section, all flashing lights are prohibited on all motor vehicles on any street or highway except for turn signals, hazard lights and headlight flashing systems described in ORS 816.050.

Best bet it to help those around you so you can negotiate the obstacle in a win-win situation.
SF-

Exactly. I don't know why everyone assumes a push bar is intended for use in congested traffic. It's for using to get abandoned vehicles out of your way, in case you have to run an illegal roadblock, and to protect your radiator from animals you may hit on the highway, or brush or fence-type obstacles you have to push through.

Some rubber pads on the front of it would make it much more useful for helping to push a stranded vehicle to the side or to a safe place or gas station.

Key point- cooperate with everyone who isn't actively trying to hurt you.

No matter how big your vehicle is, unless it is literally a tank and you don't care who you kill, you are stuck in traffic if you leave too late during an emergency. Your pickup may push one or even two vehicles at a time. It's not going to plow through 2 miles of stopped vehicles as they stack up in front of you.

What about all those zombies on the street? You'll need that push bar to just plow through infested streets to get out of town :) and ofcoarse help those around you to increas your chance of survival :)
