That's townhall.com preaching to the choir. I am still seeing gun control articles all over the mainstream and social media where I've never seen it before.

No doubt this is the opinion of a conservative blogger, but I think his logic is sound. However, I believe, deep down in my gut, that not a single new restriction will be imposed by Congress. The votes simply are not there, no matter how loud the liberal-dominated media yells and stomps their feet. Just my opinion.

it does seem to be the view of an obvious (and he did state that his is) conservative writer... but not outrageous by any means.

most of my wife's friends are liberals; they've moved on to other things or are saying they'd not mind trained armed people in their children's school.
i work with many liberals, which are scattered about the country. get a similar feeling from them.

from an "outside" view, as i'm not liberal nor conservative, though i am extremely biased when it comes to the constitution and gun control; liberals are losing their grip.

I do understand your concern, but these past few weeks many of us have been punching back twice as hard against the socialists in the media and have been winning the argument on facebook, twitter, and in forums like this one. I sat by when the first ban was passed, but I will not sit by again. The libs lost a major argument when the first AWB was sunset, and gun crimes have gone down in this country ever since. The liberals in the media and in D.C. will always use mass shootings to gin up emotions to get their way. Gun control is part of their religion. They believe in it with all their being, even though it has been shown time and time again gun control simply does not work in the US. This time was different in my opinion. Their arguments simply held no water with most people. They never proved, nor couldn't produce any evidence that suggested the Newtown tragedy would have been avoided if there were a new AWB were in place. Connecticut already had a ban in place, and it did nothing to stop the deranged lunatic. While we are not there yet, I think America may be moving past the whole "ban guns" thing, and are looking to new ways to solve these issues, like armed security in schools. Logic to a liberal is like sunlight to vampire. Help us shine more light on them...

Don't underestimate Facebook. social media is BECOMING mainstream media. look at how many hours per day people spend on Facebook compared to how much time they spend watching the news or any of the other "traditional" media outlets.

ABC, NBC and CBS combined average number of viewers was 24.9 million for the week of December 10th... a big week for US news. (source )

Facebook has over 500 Million worldwide users logged in on any average day. They have over 1 BILLION users that are active as of September of this year. (source: Facebook, Inc. posted financials). keep in mind this is worldwide numbers
