The Z50 K3 (1973) was the first mini trail 50 to get the new chassis with rear suspension. When did Honda start putting rear shocks on the Mini Trail? The originals were all hardtail (which is how/why so many of us learned to weld and braze - to repair the cracks and breaks at the backbone).
I remember when the new CT70 hit the scene with rear shocks, 40% more motor and a 4-speed! Some pre-teen 50cc Mini Trail riders were a little envious/resentful. "It needs a proper looking gas tank!"The Z50 K3 (1973) was the first mini trail 50 to get the new chassis with rear suspension.
And HEAVY as hell!
Best balanced was my old Husky WR 450, it was a tractor down low, but you could give it a hand full and it would explode with crazy power! Also HEAVY as hell, but easier to handle!
