Lets have fun with this. I want to see pics of everyones modded Remington 700's.
It can be as little as just a trigger mod or muzzle break all the way up to full chassis and barrel swaps.
Post pics with a full list of modifications.
What you use the rifle for, what handloads you are using (if applicable) and what kind of accuracy you are getting.
Ill start it off...

Remington 700 LR in 300 win. (the only original parts are the bolt and action)
Used for ELR shooting, 2800 yards and out. (Steel plate)

Mods:
MDT ESS aluminum chassis w/ 18" hand guard
Bartlein stainless 1:9 straight taper heavy varmint barrel
4AW muzzle break
ERGO flat top grip
Badger Ordinance 45MOA steel rail w/ recoil lug
Schmidt and Bender PM2 5-25x56
Ivey Shooting 50mil elevating scope base/rings (I'm getting my full 26 mils from the scope for a total of 76+ mils of available elevation correction).
Nightforce angle cosign indicator
Accuracy 1st ceramic bubble level
Timney .8lb (point 8) trigger
Fluted bolt
Atlas 5H bipod w/ American defense QD mount
AADMOUNT scope caps (The absolute best btw)
AADMOUNT magnification lever
Magpul 5rd magazine

Load:
230g Berger Hybrid target
75g of H1000
Federal Gold Match large rifle primers GM210M (non magnum
Norma cases
.4 to .5 MOA all day.
The gun shoots way better than I do. In a led sled this rifle will punch through the same hole over and over at 100 yards.

I strongly considered the 700 for a long distance platform but instead decided to go with the RPR. That is one sweet looking tack driver there!

Very nice. You guys that have the muzzle brakes, did you install those yourself or have a gunsmith do it? How much does it run $$$ (ballpark)?

Currently working on a modest R700 build/project. Thanks,

I had my gunsmith install it while he was working on the receiver & barrel. The cost was $225 for the brake and the labor was included with my original quote for the work.

There is a guy named Loren Peters in Vancouver that does barrel work for a VERY good price. He charges under $100 I think to thread the muzzle.

I dig those AI chassis,.. How do you like it??

I have a Rem700 but it's a VTR and I don't want to muck up your thread of beauties.

I have been wanting to doing a longer range rifle (sticking with .308) and was going back and forth over a Remington and a Savage.
Went with that later.
