I'm really sick of logic being completely ignored in the "gun debate" so I had a thought this morning: Why not co-opt the left's talking points and propose our own legislation?
Here's what I think we should do:
Here's what I think we should do:
- Propose a bill in Congress with a catchy name like "The Gun Violence Prevention Act of 2015"
- Make the focus of the law on
- improved mental health care
- implementation of nationwide reciprocity
- deny federal funds to any state, county or city entity that exhibits sanctuary tendencies
- deny federal funds for any Gun-Free Zone
- throw in something for the "children"
- etc.
- Then tie it up so no "gun control" items can be added and pass it through the house and senate with whoever will vote for it
