A lot of us use this product while wet tumbling our brass. I've been getting mine at Bi-Mart and they aren't stocking it any more. The active ingredient for Lemi-Shine is Citric Acid. I did an on-line search and got 5 lbs of food grade Citric Acid shipped to my door from Wal-Mart for about $18.00. I've tried it and it works just like Lemi-shine at 1/2 the cost.

As said a little goes a long way. Plus depending on what all is in your water mskes a difference.

I use about 1/2 a teaspoon of lemi shine in city water.
My brother is on a well and can only use 1/4 of a teaspoon or he gets off color brass.

I have always dry tumbled. Walnut shell and jeweler's rouge. Harbor Freight sells 50 lbs of crushed shell, coarse or fine, for $49.99. Add $6.99 to your door.

To treat the walnut shells, rouge, or (non-Ammonia) Flitz liquid does the same job.
