This was left to me as part of an estate.
I contacted Dixie Gun Works and they gave me this information:

Your rifle is one of our left hand Tennessee Mountain Rifles.
These were made from the mid 1980's through the mid 1990's.
They were made in both flintlock and percussion, as the one you have is.
The manfacture stopped production on them but they were a good quality rifle.
The last full retail price was $675. Your rifle today is worth about $500 ---

bottom of a hexagon barrel. With a fringed leather slip case. $450 Or Best Reasonable Offer

I do not know if this gun was ever used.

Is
Is this rifle still for sale? I am interested.

When I purchased a black powder gun from Dixie gun works it came shipped UPS. Also being black powder it is not subject to the restrictions like a modern guns. UPS may charge a little more because of length. They measure length, width, & height and add them together if it is above some number then they charge more. I work on Macintosh computers and sometimes ship them off for warranty repair. I have to measure the boxes but they never go over the oversize number. You may also be able to ship FedEx Ground. Just got up to get a drink of water so I am rambling. Let me know what you find out. Here in Amarillo UPS has stores and Kinkos does FedEx. Also have Pack-n-Mail stores that handle both UPS & Fedex
