While it is a fact that lead is harmful, and if shot indoors you have a greater exposure, like other things there is a lot of over reaction. All the indoor ranges (that I have shot at allow 22lr). Also there is as much exposure with lead primers as properly cast bullets (IMHO). With soft lead bullets and fast powder the bullet expands to seal the barrel and limits the leading problems, if you try to use hard cast at low velocities you will get leading from flame cutting. Hard cast works better for magnum loads and generally doesn't have leading problems. I shoot lead but do take precautions (we all have to die of some thing sooner or later) in my chase it will from being taxed to death to pay for all the wonderful liberal ideas. :D

Halfnutz
myself and a group used to shoot in Bellevue every Thru' nite.
no lead used by any of us. 100/200 rounds a nite each.
only one member of the group was found to have to much lead.
The only one that got checked!
We shot Montana gold and Rainiers mostly, both covered.
