If WA had not said no to these I would have one on its way to me now at that price :D
Not sure what the price will eventually shake out too. Just checked my favorite distributor and they have some of the 5.7 version but not the 10mm so I can see what they are selling them for individual's. WA did my wallet a favor that they took these off the table for me. :s0140:
What was it that got it banned in WA? I thought they were ok with detachable mags as long as they were in the grip, or is that another state I am thinking of?

The threads alone make it no way here. Not sure what else on it would be no way. The mags would of course be no here but that would be easy enough to get around. We are about to put the AG into office here as Governor. He will make sure things get worse for us. :(

Oh I missed the threaded barrel. They don't make a non-threaded version? Or maybe it is early enough in the release that they have just not gotten to the ban compliant version yet. Maybe you should start going through couch cushions in anticipation of that dropping :s0140:

When they hit with the PC Carbine they were (and I guess still are) offering it with what they called a CA compliant version. No threads and 10 round mag. If they do that with this and it makes it WA compliant? I will have one!

Competitive with online retailers, or competitive with the lowest prices you can find on GB? Because the former is pretty normal, the later is pretty impressive.
Does it matter? Because frankly it sounds like you just want to be right again

If that is how you want to take it that is on you. I was actually curious because if there is someone around here who is consistently $50 to $100 under average street pricing (which is where GB usually is if you are patient) that would be a hell of a lot more convenient for me than lowballing on GB and seeing if I can snipe something.

$750 on Gun broker
Based on the dealer price I know, at least with RSR, they are not making much at that price point, that's not even 10% markup. I'm sure the GB fees eat into that, probably just selling them near cost after fees....

I know Lincoln City Sporting Goods should be getting at least one in soon if they haven't already. Might give them a call...

The ATF has been closing down a lot of FFLs in recent years. I am sure a lot of the banger deals on GB are stock snipped from other closing FFLs at below market prices. Often times these sales are only to other FFLs, so the prices are lower than anywhere else. I know for a fact that two of my purchases in the last year were a great price because of this as that is what the dealer told me when we were talking about it (a lot of the best deals are from dealers who skip the GB CC processing and have you call in your own card. 9 times out of 10 these guys also like to talk and I have spent almost an hour on the phone with more than one of them. I only hope it was a slow day for them and I was not keeping them from customers at the counter. . . ). GB is a great place for patient people to get good deals on guns. But if you want something quickly beware, I have seen stuff go for well over street prices because a few guys got caught up in a bidding war. . .

Do they have this in smaller barrel length like 10"? The difference in velocity between 10" and 16" is only 5% and would make a much handier and more useful package in smaller size. That longer barrel is a pain. Little benefit and harder to store, transport, conceal, and use in tight quarters.

720fpe vs 760fpe using light blue purple line as an example.

I don't see why. Braces are so inexpensive now. The first one below was $10 new without tube. The second one was $60 new with tube. Both were posted here under great deals section.
I was looking at it as an SBR with the associated tax stamp and mandatory crawling up you backside background check by our favorite alphabet agency. If sold as a pistol with a brace then heck yeah, that'd be great.

Glock 40 (or Glock 20) with USW is another straight blowback option.
Definitely NOT straight blow back. Everything but a Hipoint is a short recoil delayed system.
Barrel and slide stay locked up till it recoil pushes it back far enough that the barrel drops then it's blowback.
Huge difference in recoil.

Since I started to using suppressors it has taught me the evils of blow-back... lots of hot garbage coming out the port in your face.
The Glock doesn't do it, the Hipoint definitely does.
The LC carbines will as well.

True I should have said "short recoil".

Yes, the Browning tilting bolt mechanism is a short recoil operated system, not a blowback system. The barrel moves with the bolt for part of the cycle, then tilts down to unlock from the bolt which continues to travel rearward to complete the cycle. Recoil operated systems actually lock up the bolt such that if you keep the barrel from moving the bolt cannot open.

Blowback operation uses the movement of the case itself to initiate the cycle which means only the bolt (and whatever delay mechanism is in place) needs to move. There is no lockup with the chamber to prevent this movement, the bolt travels independently from anything else. This means if you push back on the bolt face hard enough the bolt will open regardless of whatever delay mechanism is in place or if you keep anything else on the gun from moving. All the delay mechanism does is provide some initial resistance to that movement, it does not offer a true lockup.

Hi-Point pistols are true blowback actions. Glock, Sig, S&W, 1911 and damn near all the rest of the common pistol platforms are a Browning style locking action (not talking about .22 pistols here, which are almost all straight blowback, even the drop in conversion kits).
