It's amazing how "news" outlets are so content to simply regurgitate flat out lies with no due diligence or fact finding. Didn't there used to be some absurd concept of a reporters first duty is the pursuit of truth?

Well, a "reporter", yes indeed.

But AFAIK we have younguns going to "Journalism" school to become "Journalists" now. And "jounalism" per se seems to be taught and enforced by senior editors and finding "facts" that support ones agenda, or point of view. Anything not supportive is discarded or left out of the story.

It's been going on for decades now.

I remember when my daughter was in high school; we were talking about what she wanted to do for a career. I told her I would support whatever she wanted except for journalism.
