i was a reserve officer and had to purchase my own gun. i was able to get a law enforcement only gun. i left the force but retained my weapon with stamped LE/govt use only mags.

question: i dont have a need for this weapon anymore and would like to sell it. is it legal for me to sell it? if so what am legally responsible to do?

Unless your dept had requirements on your purchase, the stamping of the magazines is a non-issue as the '94 AWB has expired.

If you used dept. letterhead to purchase the gun, you may need to read the agreement. As most now say that the gun will be used for duty only, and not for resale.
