Last Handgun Ban in the U.S. Struck Down

That's basically what the headline reads - but I'd hesitate to say that the last ban is struck down - D.C., for example may allow handguns, but they are highly restricted. Be that as it may, the last actual handgun ban has been struck down - in a U.S. Terrritory - the Mariana Islands. To date, it had a complete ban on handguns - owning or importing. The U.S. District Court for the Mariana Islands struck down the ban as well as the ban on imports, on the grounds that it violates the 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms.

I'll say any win, even in a territory, is a plus for us at this point.

While this is great news, we can't let our guard down because it won't be the last one as the anti's are progressively working towards de facto handgun bans a lot closer to home.

The PDRK may be the most actively aggressive anti-gun state/area pursuing this course to rid the subjects of the privilege of handgun ownership, but they're not the only ones; MA, MD and DC also have a roster of handguns that they deem worthy of letting commoners own. These lists of worthy guns are constantly getting smaller and smaller, eventually there be zero "safe guns" on the lists. Not to mention, these and other states/counties/cities that extort money from the subjects by the way of a permission slip for the privilege purchasing and/or owning a handgun. These permission slips will get more expensive and exclusive as time goes by, until only a select few (the super rich and/or politicans) are the only ones able to get said permission.

Heller and McDonald didn't go far enough to address this, so the anti's have just shifted their attack and it will only get worse as a certain anti-gun politician has been stacking the federal courts against us. I fear, with the way thing are headed, it's going to get much much worse for us in the courts.

They will continue to shift their attacks on gun ownership until they understand and fully comprehend what "shall not be infringed" means. That won't happen so expect the assault on the 2A to continue. Stay vigilant.
