SheepDog, there's something I can't get clear on with these since I've never used one.

1. Do you replace or alter the slide lock when installing this?

2. Do you have to engage the slide lock to turn the laser off?

3. If the slide lock isn't the on-off switch as described above, what is it?

4. Can you operate the weapon with the laser turned off - slide not locked?

To turn the laser on and off there is a ambi switch on the slide lock. With the replaced slide lock (a little longer) you push it right or left depending on your preference. Center position is off.

Arggggg!!! LOL. I can't really see the new slide lock.

One more time, please, LOL?

Does turning the light off with the new slide lock, LOCK the slide, or can you still fire the gun?
