Ok. When I've used lasers on pistols, I've zeroed them at 10 meters or less (POA/POI), knowing that I'd be using them in a home setting. Rifles, I've always used a constant offset zero.
I guess it depends - at least a little, on where the laser is mounted on the rifle. If it is mounted above or below the bore, the POA/POI could be used, whereas if it was to the side then offset and drop would have to be accounted for.

Yep. My PEQ is always slightly to the right at 50m and to the right and low at 25m, but, I never have to worry about the beam converging with and passing the line of the bore at distance.
