Laser eye correction, seeking clinics.

I work in an eye clinic. Some things to know about LASIK, if you're in your 50s, it won't last long. You'll need correction for up close and intermediate range. When your cataracts start to come in, the benefits of LASIK will slowly diminish. It can cause dryness and glare/halos. If you shoot pistol ironsights, you will need glasses. Most people love it because it gets them out of glasses or contacts.

so what are the alternatives that don't mess w/ our hobbies? PRK?

Thanks for all the thoughts and recommendations.

Went with TLC Eye Center in Tigard. They got me in the same day I had my consultation. Quickest and most painless thing I've ever done!

Had some sinus congestion after and my eyes would not drain into my nose and mouth, so that was fun! Other than that, stupid easy procedure.

Now I just have to get used to looking at myself without glasses in the mirror.
