Salem, Or - I have for sale a Western Field 720A - this is a commercial large ring Mauser action chambered in .270 Winchester manufactured in the 60's by E. Heym in Germany. Has the stock been cut short on this rifle ? or the same question asked differently , what is the length of pull ?

I'll take a look tonight - i haven't done much with it and planned on replacing the stock so hadn't bothered looking.

Length of pull is right at about 14" - the original recoil pad was removed and replaced with the sleeve (which is now brittle and cracked)

Interesting. That's better than to short. I will see what it would cost to cut the stock and add a pad.
