Just returned from 4 days around Lakeview hunting various varmints. Excellent numbers of sagerats in the fields. Coyote calling was very successful as was the muskrat depredation control.
Males came in to "female Invitation" howl and females came in to "Pup Distress" Nothing came in to rabbit or bird distress. Usually 2-4 groups located each night with siren and then called them at dawn. I did stalk one in a field eating the squirrels we shot the day before, I had to jump in a almost empty canal to get within 100 yards.
That's good to know. I have never had any luck with the howls so I keep sticking with the distress which nevers works this time of year for me.
