I have a ladder rack that I took off of my '87 Ranger. The minimum width for this rack is 54 3/16". It had some exposed metal that had some surface rust so I sprayed it with flat black Rustoleum to protect if from the rain, but I wasn't all that careful about it. If you wanted to make it look real nice you would want to sand it and give it a real paint job. The way it looks right now, personally, I would put it on my truck and put it to work. I looked on CL and I think that $250 would be a pretty good deal. I will try to get some pictures tomorrow when it's light outside.
