Just curious is the entire brace and tube removable on these things? And can it be changed out for a side folding brace like they used to have?

I haven't done any investigation into that. Others on here probably know, or a Google search will tell you. I do know that they stopped making the hinge on the receiver for later gen 2's. This one does have the hinge.
