You know, if I were to strike someone to the head with a bike lock (heavy, steel) I would consider it using lethal force. Swinging a bludgeon to the head is really no different than putting a bullet in someone's leg, there's a very real, and significant potential of fatality.

From the video it looks like a lock on a rope or chain, so...yeah.

He was right though. Water parks in northern Europe can't state the race of the rapist who have what I'd dub a "rape game" that happens with high frequency, similar epidemic in Britain involving even police cover up, now this in America, that we know about. It isn't a lot but the medical especially can help. The idea behind the crime victims claim is that the state pays to house, feed, educate, and provide medical care for criminals when often the victims of such crimes face huge obstacles -- so it seemed fair to help the victims.

Yes, I am advocating that a sneak attack from behind or the side that cannot be defended against should by law be the circumstance manifesting extreme indifference which automatically bumps the charge up to a felony. The "ethics professor" who sneak attacked with a metal bike lock should not have been able to plead down to a misdemeanor with probation only.
